Job-Site conditions are the key factors to take into account when deciding which installation method and paver thicknesses to employ.
Mortarless installations are usually undertaken over a compacted substrate of 5″ H crusher run and a 1″ H topping of sand; joints — construction sand-grouted. OK for pavers of 1-1/4″, 2″ and 4″ thicknesses.
Dry-Pack (full mortar) installations are usually undertaken over a compacted substrate of 3″-5″ crush and run. Jointsgrouted with mortar or sand. OK for pavers of 3/4″ and 1-1/4″ thicknesses
